Act Now: Tell your US Rep farm workers deserve overtime

UFW responds to Newsom veto of farm worker voting choice bill by heading to French Laundry to seek a meeting with him

Farm workers asked for a meeting with Governor Gavin Newsom in early June to discuss AB 616 (Stone).  The Governor’s staff said there would be no meeting.

AB 616 would have allowed farm workers to form a union by casting a secret ballot in many of the same ways California voters did in the Recall Election.

Farm workers will try again to meet with the Governor to explain why the bill is as important to them as the Voting Choice Act was to the Governor.
